maybe soon? maybe?

I am actually working on a new garden cartoon...I have been way distracted from this topic, due to another project and, of course, winter. But shall try to finish this today or tomorrow, fwiw!

not about gardens....

...but it is about cartoons....

this is an exhibit I just attended, all originals of NY'er cartoons about money. The theme is making too much of it, generally. Best part was seeing two power-groomed executives meeting there and chuckling their way through the show, un-ironically laughing at the greedy boobs in the 'toons, unaware they were boobs, too. Oh, and a rich elderly lady commenting that Helen Hokinson used to live in a cottage on a "friend's estate." !!

As soon as I can get it together, as I have no drawing area at the moment, I will endeavor to supply my handful of readers with a new cartoon of my own. Don't all cheer and clap at once!

kissing ball greetings

Time to honor my favorite Christmas decoration in cartoon
form...a boxwood kissing ball has hung every year in my doorway
for the holidays, only the catch is, I never take it down.
Through the following year, it dries and turns a nice
dried tan color...then in December I put up the next green one.
And so on, and so on...now to transfer this image to a card, which
is quite beyond my abilities with both photoshop, the internets,
not to mention how to deal with those surly clerks at Kinko's.
Wish me luck. Merry Kruschev, Randoob. [First reader to
get this reference gets a prize! You know who you are!]

A Cruel Blow...

Don't you hate it when they cart all those ugly hothouse mums in? Every big box store, supermarket, drugstore and garden center has dozens and dozens, and they're all horrible...
